We're about 6 weeks away from the next MFC meeting.  That meeting could have a huge effect on the future of our marine fisheries if they do what is right with regard to southern flounder.

Both the short term and long term effects of this flounder issue could greatly improve all fishing if the MFC finishes what they started in May and June.

Then again - if Governor Cooper gives one more vote to the commercial side, all reform stops and we go back to North Carolina's favorite saying about gillnets "Soak 'em if you got 'em!"

By putting a hardcore commercial supporter into an at-large seat last time, all progress will be lost instantly if the at-large seat (Koury) is now filled by someone who leans commercial.

Hold your breath and get ready to go look for that nickel on the dresser!LOL
