This month's Trade Winds publication-

I've said for years that the NCFA strong arm tactics against the small commercial fisherman has similarities to racketeering. The 1/2% program is a perfect example. You want dockage? You want ice? You want somewhere to sell your fish? The NCFA wants 1/2%. Capeesh!

Glenn Skinner-
...and what doesn't Skinner tell you about those Southern Flounder limits from NC to Florida? That every other state except NC reserves flounder harvest almost totally for it's recreational angler. He also doesn't mention that NC commercial fishermen are the #1 harvester of flounder coastwide from NC to Florida. He also doesn't mention that while every other state is giving flounder to the recreational sector that NC gives 70% to the commercial sector.

The real truth-

...and more bull from Glenn Skinner- How's that speckle trout fishing in the creeks and canals going to workout with this cooler weather? Make room for the gillnets!  ...and don't forget those twelve year old girls need their red drum to pack out for Christmas money.
