King from a Kayak

CAROLINA BEACH - Fished out of my kayak off Carolina beach yesterday. Found a ball of good sized pogies that were being attacked by what looked like spanish. A one point had what looked like a blacktip swim up and check out the kayak. Hooked a pogy with my one and only sabiki but got cut off above it by something. Switched to a rattle trap and had spanish following it to the yak but they wouldn’t commit. Tried a top water popper and again they would follow it to the boat but not commit. Switched to a small swim shad and managed to snag a pogy. Hooked it up and withing 5 seconds of it hitting the water it was hit and lost its tail. Snagged another one and put it down near the school and it got hit pretty quickly. Drag started screaming and I knew it was a good fish. About 15 minutes later I was able to gaff this 40inch King. Didn’t weigh it but Im assuming somewhere in the teens. My first King from the yak.
