Lower Neuse - Creek Hopping

LOWER NEUSE RIVER - Slid down to the coast to do some creek hooping this past weekend. Couldn't turn down the offer the weatherman had as far as temps go. Wind was up a bit, but we found some places to hide. My nephew and a college mate of his joined me for the day. We set out Saturday morning to see what we could "drum" up. The pups cooperated and the specs were ecstatic to see us. We had several pups in the upper slot with a bunch in the 19 - 21 inch size thrown in. This is Will's nice one for the day:
John seemed to have the touch for the specs. He landed two real nice ones:
The boys kept us out til almost dark, but it was worth it as the trout above came on the last allotted cast of the day!
Great day on the water! From start to finish!!!
