Ugly Weather, Nice Fish

Fished Slocum Sat from 3-6 PM. Very windy and rained off and on throughout. Fished near the bridge and notta. Haven't fished there in a while so we moved to a couple of spots that have always produced. Hit old faithful and pulled in 2 flounder (13.9999" & 14.5"). After trying unsuccessfully to stretch the one flounder, only kept the one. Got a huge trout to the boat but pulled the hook out at the last minute trying to sling him up on the boat although I have 2 nets on the boat!!
About 4:30 head to a spot to catch some stripers hopefully. Coming to it we see the birds and anchor down. First cast I catch the one one in the pic. Second cast, another striper. By 2 buds are getting hits but loosing the fish near the boat. Although I have 2 nets, I have managed to get treble hooks from the lures caught in both!! Need some different nets with plastic coating or something!! Well, we all manage to catch some fish here. Caught 5 stipers (kept 1 apiece and 1 flounder) lost another 6-7 stripers. My one bud had something hit and take off, never looking back and snapped his line!! Oh yeah, it rained hard right around 5 but didn't notice till we got back to the ramp. Flounder on Fin-S, trout on popping cork w/ shrimp and stripers om MirrorLures (Variety of colors). All in all, a good and eventfull wet day with friends fishing!!
