Neuse...EXCELLENT!
Captain Gary Dubiel & Neuse River Speckled Trout-Most Excellent Catches!!!
I had a full day trip with a couple guys who fished with me in the past. They wanted to carch stripers on the Neuse....well that didn't happen, BUT they landed close to 30 trout....18 of them over 2 /12 pounds to 4 1/2 pounds, 15 flounder, five in the box, and a dozen or more puppy drum one slot fish....yeap about a 60 fish day.
We use DOA soft plastics, Gulp white grubs and Mirro-lure 17 M's. The afternoon hard bait bite was awsome just to watch.
On previuous trip the boys had a good day on the Roanoke for rockfish and a 9 big drum a piece trip. This trip they described as the best every....I know I was thrilled.
